Elgin Annual Cheese Days

Elgin’s 58th annual Cheese Days celebration is scheduled for Friday through Sunday with all sorts of activities, food and music on tap.
The Plainview News reports tomorrow’s events will include city-wide garage sales, food trucks, rides and a carnival, music by The Lonely Knees, an Elgin Fire Department water fight, and music by Maiden Dixie.
Saturday will feature a coed volleyball tournament, men’s and women’s softball tournaments, the Elgin EMS ‘Cheese Chase’ 1K and 5K runs, a vendor craft show, a tractor pull, kids’ face-painting, caricatures and balloon animals, music by Thomas and the Shakes, auto ‘burnouts,’ and live music and more activities.
Sunday will include a men’s softball tournament, the Grand Parade (at 1:30 p.m.), a kids’ pedal pull, bean bag tournament, and music by Warrior Revival and The Dweebs, among other activities.
