Downtown Red Wing New Businesses

If you frequent downtown Red Wing and it seems busier than ever, there’s a good reason.

Red Wing Downtown Main Street Executive Director, Andrea Hanson, says with a big assist from Red Wing’s philanthropic organizations, the winners of the 2^nd annual Retail & Restaurant Challenge have been busy opening new businesses or expanding existing ones in 2025.

Hanson says one unique new shop is Hoopla Junk, which features different items each time they occasionally open.

Red Wing Downtown Main Street has just announced they and their partners are offering incentive package(s) for one restaurant business opening or doing a significant expansion in Red Wing’s historic downtown in 2026.

They have $40,000 in cash to give away.
