A southern Minnesota sheriff is happy that a moment of personal pain helped raise money for one of his staff members.
Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose was challenged by one of his deputies during a silent auction fundraiser Sunday night for dispatch supervisor Dawn Frieberg.
As the event was winding down, Rose agreed to be tased if donors gave at least five-thousand dollars.
The dare led to over $7,000 in contributions, so Rose let himself be shocked for about five seconds.
The fundraiser took in about $17,000 to help with Frieberg's cancer treatment expenses.
