City of Red Wing Parking Rules

The City of Red Wing is reminding residents and visitors alike of the new parking rules across the city and in particular, the city owned ramps and lots in the downtown area.

  • Most parking spaces downtown are free three-hour spots. Time limits are enforced.

  • Unmarked spaces throughout Red Wing are free 20-hour parking spots.

  • For longer-term parking and overnights in City lots and ramps, you now need to purchase a permit or risk a ticket, and/or towing. For instance, you can purchase a daily pass for $6, a monthly permit for $50 for all three ramps or a yearly parking permit for $500, which allows overnight parking in the 4th Street Plaza and the Studebaker Ramp by Levee Park.

  • Recreational camping vehicles have a six-hour parking limit.

  • Semi-trailers and truck trailers may not park in any residential area except when loading or unloading.

  • Many snow emergency routes are posted as no parking from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. year-round for street maintenance and snow removal.

For a map and all the parking information, including purchasing overnight parking permits, go to https://www.redwingmn.gov/ and type in Parking Rules.
