City of Red Wing 2027 Budget

Discussions about the City of Red Wing’s2027 budget are underway, with the Red Wing City Council set to vote on preliminary tax levies next month.

On Monday, September 14^th, Council members will vote on preliminary levies for the City, Port Authority, and the Housing & Redevelopment Authority.

The Council will hold a Budget Workshop on Monday, November 2nd. Members will discuss the overall budget in preparation for final decisions in December.

The annual Truth in Taxation meeting will be held on Monday, December 7th. The public is invited to learn about the final proposed budget and levy and share their opinions with the Council.

On Monday, December 14th, during the final Council meeting of the year, Council members will vote on the final 2027 budget and levy.

At last week’s meeting, the Council reduced the proposed levy increase from 3.99% to 3.53%.
