School is back in session so children are getting more access to meals than they may have had during the summer months, but Channel One Regional Food Bank’s, Director of Development and Communications, Jessica Sund, says the need is still great.
Sund says they have changed the method to provide food for children, moving away from the backpack program to a more direct way to the kids.
Channel One now supports 35 schools in Olmsted County and over 30 additional schools in southeast Minnesota.
