Starting today at 6 a.m., the 300 block of Bush Street in Red Wing will have parking restricted to allow the contractor to install a new water service to the Hallstrom Building.
Parking will be restricted on both sides of the street for the southerly portion of the block to accommodate the excavation and the westerly shifting of the travel lanes to allow both north and south bound lanes to remain open.
The sidewalk on the easterly side of Bush Street will also be closed during this construction.
The underground work is expected to take two days with concrete surface restoration to follow immediately.
The sidewalk will be opened once the sidewalk concrete has hardened to support pedestrian traffic.
Also, once the roadway and parking concrete has reached sufficient strength (approximately four days), the lane shift will be removed, and parking will be restored.
Appropriate traffic control and sidewalk signage will be provided in advance of and through the work zone.
