Bluff County Reception in Canada

If you were tuning in KCUE Bluff Country from home or in your car you might not be very happy with the sound quality of the broadcast, scratchy and garbled, but the gentleman who caught this on his radio in Canada would disagree.

Nigel Pimblett, an avid radio listener and hobbyist in Dunmore, Alberta, Canada, wrote us and said he enjoys hearing distant stations.  

On the morning of Saturday, October 18th he was surprised to hear our station, KCUE on 1250 AM.

The recording was made at 4 am Central Daylight Time and was received by a Perseus SDR with 800' wire to the east.

This past March, we received a recording KCUE’s legal ID from Stefan Gustavsson, who lives in Djura, in the middle part of Sweden.
