Four of the Midwest’s premier handbell ensembles will combine for a first-ever mass concert, “United in Song: A Handbell Extravaganza,” on Saturday, May 6, at 3 pm, at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 1401 15th Street West, in Hastings.
Red Wing’s Bells of the Bluffs, directed by Marilee Anderson, includes ringers from east-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Anderson says Saturdays performance will be a unique, joyous event.
Choir member Kathy Olson says their performances include much more than church and holiday songs, they play rock as well.
