Banners Honor PEM Seniors

City of Plainview crews have again hung banners on West Broadway Avenue and Main Street in Elgin in honor of graduating PEM High School seniors.

According to the Plainview News, some 88 banners were hung, bearing a photo and the name of each senior.

The annual event began in 2021 when graduation ceremonies were deemed a prohibited event by Gov. Tim Walz, due to concerns of a COVID-19 ‘super-spreader.
