Red Wing Downtown Mainstreet is rounding off their Alive with Creativity Downtown with Singer-songwriter and artist Chad Elliot leading a 2-day artist residency, Friday and Saturday.
Kim Lampe, Programs Coordinator, says Friday Elliott will be at Mandy’s Coffee and Cafe, from 10 am – 3 pm engaging with community members as he paints.
Saturday at Tootsie Too’s, 10 am – 3 pm | Chad will be leading three sing-alongs for kids of all ages. Time: 10 am – 10:45 am, 11:15 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm. Wilderman’s Treetop Tales by Chad Elliot is a collection of whimsical lyrics and paintings created by the International award-winning songwriter. Think Shel Silverstein with more color and a song album. The book is designed for ages 3-10 and contains both heartwarming and giggle-worthy poetry accompanied by Chad’s own illustrations.
Lampe says there will be a community reception, Saturday from 5-7 pm at Home Plate Grill & Dugout Lounge.
