The Red Wing Public School District experienced some technical difficulties late last week and it took longer than expected to get the new busing schedule to parents.
Superintendent Bob Jaszczak posted online Sunday sharing the news that the district has partnered with BusRight, a school bus technology company, to bring more visibility and peace of mind to families of bus riders.
The message indicated families that planned on utilizing the bus service would receive two emails directly from BusRight on Monday morning.
The first email invites you to activate your BusRight Parent App account. Once activated, the app will let you:
• View your child's assigned bus route
• See estimated pick-up and drop-off times
• Receive transportation updates directly on your phone
The second email will be your student's Bus Pass, sent for any student currently assigned to a bus route.
This includes your student's assigned bus route and estimated pick-up and drop-off times. Please note that these times are estimates and may shift slightly as routes adjust. The Bus Pass is informational only and does not need to be shown to ride the bus.
Judging from social media posts, many parents received the first email but not the second one.
Please double check your spam or junk folder if you do not see them.
If you did not receive these emails Monday or have questions, please contact support@busright.com.
