Lake City Public Schools Donation

Lake City Public Schools has announced they have received a very generous donation of $1.2 million from the estate of alumnus Andru Peters, who recently passed away.

The district said Peters’ generosity will fund major renovations to the football field and complex and will create a modern space for student-athletes, marching band, PE classes, and the entire community.

The district will share design details and timelines as the school board reviews next steps.

Andru Peters was a proud Lake City High School alumnus and former football player.

The district is planning a way to recognize and honor Peters for his contribution.
