Fall Color Changes

The changing of the leaves in southeast Minnesota is becoming much more apparent now that fall is officially here.

According to the Fall Color Finder on the Minnesota DNR site, as of Tuesday, nearly all of southeastern part of the state is in the 10-25% category, including all of Goodhue and Olmsted counties.

Exceptions this week, the far southeast corner of Wabasha County and the north central portion of Winona County is still at 0-10%.

Nearly all of Houston County and the far eastern part of Filmore county is already at 25%-50% full.

The typical dates for peak fall colors in southeast Minnesota is early to mid October.
