25th Amos Owen Award Winners

Samuel Wells and Morgan Kluender have been named the recipients of the milestone 25th Amos Owen Award, presented by the Human Rights Commission during the Red Wing City Council meeting.

Samuel and Morgan have more in common than being the recipients of the milestone 25th annual Amos Owen Award.

But it is what they have in common that made them clear choices for the award from the Human Rights Commission.

They both exemplify being a good neighbor, relative, and community member. The help and assistance they provide is indiscriminate.

Samuel can be counted on to help with cultural work, community events, ceremonies, youth activities, or any other task. And if, for some reason, he cannot help himself, he will help you find someone who can.

Morgan has a long history of standing up for others, which has led her to her current path: addressing food insecurity by picking up produce and getting it to the people who need it.
