The 4th annual Winterfest at YMCA Camp Pepin is coming up Saturday, February 17th. It was originally scheduled for January but due to lack of ice it was postponed.
The popular free event, co-sponsored this year with West Coast of Wisconsin, had more than 500 attendees last year and this  year they are expanding it into an area-wide celebration with local businesses offering their own goings-on.
In Stockholm, shops that are normally closed will be open for the event.
There will be free drop-in activities at Camp Pepin from 2-8 p.m., including: · Lake Pepin's largest ice carousel · Snowshoeing · Winter walk through luminary-lit trails · Broomball · Ice skating · Ice fishing · Winter birding · Sledding · Winter-themed arts & crafts · Star gazing with Astronomer Mike Lynch · Warm beverages for purchase from the Coffee Camper.
