Southbound Highway 61 motorists at Withers Harbor in Red Wing will encounter a closed right lane starting today through Friday as a subcontractor relocates cable from the bridge to a new location.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the construction work is related to the Highway 61 Withers Harbor bridge project that wrapped up major work in Red Wing last month.
The southbound lane will reopen after crews complete their work late in the week, weather permitting.
Full construction is scheduled to resume in 2024.
Crews replaced the northbound bridge this year and will replace the southbound bridge over Withers Harbor Drive in Red Wing in 2024.
