Withers Harbor Drive in Red Wing will temporarily close to traffic under the Highway 61 bridge today and Friday as construction crews remove equipment used during the first year of work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists can reach businesses located at Withers Harbor Drive by using alternate routes on either side of the Highway 61 bridge but cannot travel through on the road until after the equipment is moved.
The road will reopen later in the day Friday.
Highway 61 traffic reopened on the northbound bridge Tuesday.
Crews replaced the northbound bridge this year and will replace southbound bridge over Withers Harbor Drive in Red Wing in 2024.
