The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to attend an open house tomorrow (Thursday, November 18th) in Red Wing to hear about plans for the replacement of the Hwy 61 bridge over in Red Wing.
During the public open house will be held at the Red Wing Public Library – The Foot Room, and project partners and MnDOT staff will share updates about design improvements, construction staging, aesthetics and trail amenities.
The open house runs from 5 pm to 6:30 p.m., with a presentation at 5:30 p.m.
The project will replace the Hwy 61 bridge over Withers Harbor Drive and Hay Creek. MnDOT will also reconstruct the approaches to the bridge from Bench Street to Withers Harbor Drive and make other road improvements. Construction will begin in spring 2023 and be complete in fall 2024.
People who are unable to attend in-person will find open house materials on the project website after the meeting.
