WisDOT Highway 63 Improvments

The improvement project on US 63 between Red Wing and Ellsworth to US 10 in the Pierce County town of Trimbelle is scheduled to start next Monday, June 30th.

The pavement on this 11.2-mile stretch of US 63 is beginning to deteriorate, so to maintain the service life of the pavement and preserve the highway's pavement subgrade.

US 63 will remain open during construction, but motorists will encounter daytime lane closures controlled by flagging.

Work includes:

• Removing 3.75 inches of asphalt and placing 3.75 inches of asphalt.

• Adding rumble strips.

• Adjusting guardrail.

• Completing culvert maintenance.

• Installing permanent pavement markings.
