A SE Minnesota non-profit that uses community engagement, science, and public policy to improve water quality, habitat, and accessibility in Lake Pepin in hosting a special event this month.
Rylee Hince, Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance Executive Director, says opening night of the "We Are Water" exhibition in Lake City is Thursday, April 28th from 6-9 pm.
Hince says this traveling exhibition examines water issues statewide and in local communities through personal stories, histories, and scientific information.
Hince says after the kick off at 6 pm on April 28th, the opening night's festivities will conclude at 7:30 pm at Lake City Area Arts for an immersion into water-inspired art.
Light appetizers will be provided and a cash bar with beer and wine will be available for purchase at the reception.
The event is free to attend but registration is required.
To register and for more information, go to www.lakepepinlegacyalliance.org and click on the We Are Water MN tab.
The exhibit will be on display through June 20th.
