Wabasha Holiday Train Safety Update

The Holiday Train’s visit to Wabasha is almost here, and there will be some important changes made this year.

The Holiday Train will be making stops along Highway 61 and is scheduled to stop in Wabasha Friday at 5:45 pm at the Gambia Avenue railway crossing by Bruegger Park.

In past years there have been incidents of pedestrians making their way onto the train tracks and climbing onto/underneath the train.

To increase safety on Friday, the City will be utilizing manpower from the Wabasha Fire Department, Ambulance, Police, Public Works, and Emergency Management with assistance from the Wabasha Sheriff's Office.

There will be strict enforcement of No Parking Zones in the areas shown on the attached map at https://www.wabasha.org/.

Enforcement will be by means of ticketing and/or towing vehicles parked illegally.
