Wabasha Dog Park Open Year-Round

One of the highlights for the city of Wabasha and Public Works department this year would be the opening of the new dog park.

It was also rewarding to see people show up to the recent council meeting and voice their opinions on the importance of keeping the park open to them and their dogs.

The City is excited to announce that the Park Board favored keeping the dog park open year-round with the help of the group that volunteered to help keep the dog park clean and accessible through the winter months.

The dog park features two fenced-in areas for dogs, fresh water, benches, and tables for owners and is located on Bailey Avenue between 11th Street and 12th Street (across the street from Marcou Park.

The Wabasha Dog Park fencing and signage were funded by grants from the Blandin Foundation and the Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation, in addition donations were received from several area donors.
