Wabasha County Sheriff ICE Policy

Much like many Minnesota communities and counties, Wabasha County law enforcement has had many encounters with I.C.E., United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in the past.

Wabasha County Sheriff Rodney Bartsh, says his office has never had any problems with federal agencies and his office is not involved with assisting them.

Bartsh says it’s common practice that I.C.E. get’s notified if an illegal is being processed in jail or court.

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office recently issued an official statement on I.C.E. being in Red Wing and what they can and can’t do when it comes to interacting with Federal agencies.
