Wabasha County Hwy 81 from MN Hwy 60 to US Hwy 61 is planned to be closed to through traffic beginning approximately February 28 (weather permitting) for the reconstruction of County Hwy 81.
Through traffic should use the posted detour on Hwy 61 and Hwy 60. Large equipment and tree clearing operations will be on active on sections of the road until earthwork operations begin at a later date.
Construction is expected to be completed in approximately 6 months (weather permitting) with an aggregate surface which is planned to remain until paved with asphalt in 2023.
