The Minnesota DNR is implementing a Chronic Wasting Disease hunt in Wabasha County (zone 342 only) from Friday, December 15th through Sunday, December 17th.
Nearly two-dozen Minnesota deer have been tested this fall and found to have chronic wasting disease.
Data from the DNR shows that more than half of the 23 cases confirmed were found in southeast Minnesota. Thirteen deer samples are still waiting for a second confirmation test but are considered suspect.
