Wabasha County Commissioners on July 23 approved and accepted a donation on behalf of the County Social Services Department from the Wabasha County Community Resource Center, in the amount of 100 Farmer’s Market vouchers, worth $15 apiece.
The Plainview News reports Social Services was provided with the vouchers, to be used toward purchases at the Wabasha Farmer’s Market.
Farmer’s Market vouchers will be distributed to families residing within the Wabasha zip code (55981), Kellogg and Theilman (TILE-men) zip codes (55945), and Reads Landing zip code (55968).
Populations to receive the vouchers will be identified through open Social Services cases.
The Department of Social Services, in partnership with the federal government, the Minnesota Department of Human Services, and other state and local agencies, assists individuals whose personal or family resources are not adequate to meet their basic health, welfare and safety needs, according to information at www.co.wabasha.mn.us/departments/social_services/index.php.
