The Wabasha County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during its regularly-scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 in the Old Courthouse Annex at 625 Jefferson Avenue in Wabasha, in regard to a proposed County ordinance to regulate cannabis-related businesses.
The Plainview News reports the purpose of this ordinance is to implement the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 342, which authorizes Wabasha County to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of Wabasha County residents by regulating cannabis businesses within the legal boundaries of Wabasha County.
Discussed topics will include details on registering a cannabis business, requirements including zoning and buffers, cultivation and selling wholesale. Â
