Lehnertz Dairy will host this year’s Wabasha County ‘Breakfast on the Farm’ event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 12 at the site near Plainview.
Families, neighbors and community members are invited to enjoy a free breakfast and farm tours, plus ice cream treats, and cheese curds provided by Little Red Dairy of Theilman.
There also will be a tractor and farm equipment display by Minnesota Ag Group in Plainview, skid steers from Nick’s Skid and Steer in Plainview, and antique equipment from members of the Greenwood Prairie Classic Iron Club.
There will be tractor rides, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Department will make cotton candy, and Plainview Milk Products Cooperative staff will make popcorn with fresh, creamery butter.
Members of the 2025 Wabasha County American Dairy Association (ADA) royalty will hand out ice cream treats, and WPVW 99.7 will broadcast live from 8 am – noon.
The Plainview News reports family and kid activities include a cow barrel train, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and a sand pile.
Breakfast on the Farm is sponsored by the Wabasha County ADA and Wabasha County Farm Bureau, along with local businesses.
The Lehnertz farm is north of Plainview at 21188 580th St., just off Highway 42.
