The City of Wabasha and the Wabasha Athletic Complex Steering Committee is inviting the community to the Wabasha Athletic Complex Grand Opening on Friday, May 31st from 4-7 pm.
The grand opening event will include Saint Paul Saints Spotlight Games for Falcon Youth Baseball Association and the Wabasha-Kellogg Summer Softball Association. The Saints will be bringing their show on the road, from the public address announcer and organist to their between-innings promotions and mascot.
Pregame festivities will include a welcome and donor recognition from Mayor Emily Durand, ribbon cutting ceremony, American Legion and VFW Color Guard ceremony, and performance of the National Anthem.
Pure Country WPVW 99.7 and KLCH Lake Hits 95 will be broadcasting live from the Wabasha Athletic Complex.
There will be food available for purchase and complementary hot dogs, chips, and water will also be available.
Those attending the Wabasha Athletic Complex Grand Opening will be able to see the new amenities including pickleball and tennis courts, basketball court, hockey/skating rink, warming house, concessions stand, and restrooms.
