Wabasha 2025 Projects Highlights


Wabasha City Administrator, Caroline Gregreson, presented several 2025 projects at the City Council’s January 2026 meeting.


According to the Wabasha County Herald, some of the highlights that Gregerson detailed in her presentation:


The City of Wabasha completed a major mill and overlay project for its most deteriorated streets – from Skyline Drive, to Buena Vista Drive, to 3rd Street West, and 11th Street West.


Public Works also completed new patching and surfacing projects on various streets on the west side of Wabasha.


The City added a new EV charger, fixed the fencing at Heritage Park, and began removal of old athletic field facilities.


The City selected an engineering firm and begin design and environmental work for the new Highway 60 road realignment, which is completely funded through grants.


Emergency Management received almost $297,556 in grant funds for future flood mitigation and completed projects rebuilding the skate park at the new athletic field, moving a playground out of the flood zone to Eagles Basin, securing the bank of the Mississippi with rock, and new lighting along the bike path.
