W-K Schools Early Literacy Grant

Great News for Wabasha-Kellogg Elementary Students, thanks to Mary Dawn Glomski, W-K staff member, the district was recvently awarded an Early Literacy Grant providing books for every student in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

In partnership with Capstone, ABDO, and Southern Minnesota Iiniative Foundation, books will be distributed in January, with each student receiving a book to keep—helping inspire a lifelong love of reading.

SMIF’s Early Literacy Grant program is designed to support early literacy efforts that enhance school readiness for children birth to age eight by providing children with books.
