W-K PTO Fore the Falcons Golf

The Wabasha-Kellogg Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) wrapped up its most successful fundraising event this month after the second annual Fore the Falcons Golf Tournament raised $17,802, more than doubling last year's total and exceeding the organization's fundraising goal.

According to the Wabasha Herald, PTO organizers hoped to raise $10,000 this year, up from the $7,850 generated during the inaugural tournament.

By the end of the event, the tournament had surpassed that goal by nearly $8,000, making it the largest fundraiser in the PTO's history and bringing in more than the group typically raises through all of its annual fundraising efforts combined.

PTO organizers thanked the volunteers, sponsors, golfers, and community members for their support, which made the event possible.

They said additional information about the playground project and the use of the funds will be shared in the coming months.
