A non-profit in Red Wing is giving area musicians and non-musicians alike a chance to learn from and prepare a live performance with a pair of professional musicians and compose and record original music with a Twin Cities music producer.
Universal Music Center Founder, Mike Arturi, says pros Lucy and Simon will teach participants the ropes of playing in a live band in the The Rock Band Factory, create a set list, perfect your song and show, and perform LIVE at the Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts on Sunday, August 25th at 1:30 pm.Â
Arturi says noted producer Bionik Beats, a highly accomplished hip-hop producer, his credits include Ice-T and Lizzo, will help you create a beat, add melody and rhythm, write and record your song and perform live.
For this program, students need NO experience, equipment, or instruments.
Cost for either program is $75 and participants of both will be performing August 25th at 1:30 PM at the Sheldon Theatre.
