United Way Stuff the Bus Pickup

The annual United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, Pierce counties school supply drive pickup event is Thursday at the Red Wing Elks Lodge, 306 West 4th Street, from 4 pm – 7 pm. 

Executive Director, Nicolle Mechelke, says  new basic supplies have been collected and will be assembled into kits for local elementary, middle and high school students. She says the annual event has grown thanks to community partnerships.

Mechelke says the parents appreciate the assistance and the kids really have a fun time.

Items collected include pencils, pens and colored pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, rulers, scissors, notebooks and backpacks.

There will be free Sloppy Joes and chips while supplies last.
