United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties is once again serving youth with a unique program.
Executive Director, Nicolle Mechelke, says their Packing for the Weekend program for kids is in seven area school, which features culturally appropriate healthy food.
Mechelke says they also participate in the Fare For All program that the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing monthly on Wednesdays from 3 pm – 5 pm.
She says it provides easy access to affordable, nutritious foods- including fresh fruits and veggies and frozen meat packages. No income or residential restrictions and no pre-registration.
