United Way of Hastings is offering a 3-part presentation series to educate Hastings residents on the dangers of fentanyl for young people.
Overdoses and illegal poisonings are now the leading cause of death for people ages 18-45 and illicit fentanyl is responsible for a large percentage of those deaths. The United Way invites you to join them on Tuesday, April 26th, in the Hastings Middle School Auditorium for a video presentation and panel discussion. Parents, teens, teachers, coaches, church members, bosses, community members - all are welcome. Resource tables will be there as well.
Two additional presentations will be on May 3 and May 10.
During this series, you'll learn how widespread illegal fentanyl is, how it threatens many young people in our community, how Narcan can help, what treatment options are available, and what you can do to educate yourself and others.
