Sunnyside Elementary Bus Stop and Walk

Sunnyside Elementary School kicked off the spring Bus Stop and Walk last Wednesday, and will continue the program every Wednesday through May 14 (weather permitting).

This is part of the Safe Routes to School initiative.

Sunnyside bus riders will be dropped off on Roosevelt Avenue next to Roosevelt Park on Wednesdays and walk to Sunnyside from there. Staff will be stationed at intersections to help students cross and to encourage them.

Parents who drop off their children are welcome to do so at Roosevelt Avenue as well on those Wednesdays.

The school asks that you drop off on the side of the road opposite the buses (and opposite the park). Drop-offs at the park must take place 7:25-7:40 a.m.
