The Minnesota Twins surrendered three runs in the bottom of the 10th and were walked off during a 5-4 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The Twins scored twice in the top of the frame as Byron Buxton and Jose Miranda each drove in a run, but Jovani Moran couldn't hold the lead in the next half-inning and was charged with the loss. Max Kepler went deep for the Twins, who have lost their last three games. However, they remain in first place in the AL Central at 10-and-7. Joe Ryan starts for the Twins against Boston tonight.
The Minnesota Wild look to take a two-games-to-none lead in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs when they visit the Dallas Stars in Game Two at American Airlines Center tonight. The Wild earned a thrilling 3-2 double-overtime victory over Dallas in Game One. Ryan Hartman scored the game-winning goal in the second extra period. Minnesota will try to head back to St. Paul with a commanding lead of the best-of-seven series with a win tonight. The game gets underway at 8:30 on KWNG & WBHA 5:30 pm 1st pitch 6:10 pm.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to even up their first round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets when the two teams match-up in Game Two at Ball Arena tonight. The Timberwolves were annihilated in a 109-80 loss in Game One on Sunday. Minnesota trails in the best-of-seven series one-game-to-none. Tonight's game tips off at 9:00 PM.
The Bucks are preparing for their Game Two matchup with the Heat without their star player. Giannis Antetokounmpo is officially listed as "doubtful" for the round one clash in Milwaukee. The All-Star didn't practice yesterday, but coach Mike Budenholzer said the team was "optimistic" he could play in tonight's game. The forward suffered a back contusion after he took a hard fall during the Bucks' loss to Miami in Game One.
The Packers are meeting with a wide receiver prospect. The team hosted Rashee Rice yesterday on a top-30 visit. The SMU pass catcher reeled in 233 balls for 3,111 and 25 touchdowns in 33 starts with the Mustangs. He's expected to go in the middle rounds of the draft.
The Brewers edged the Mariners 6-5 in extra innings from Seattle. Willy Adames grounded into a fielder's choice which scored the eventual game winning run in the 11th. Adames also slugged a homer and had three RBI while Christian Yelich also went deep. Milwaukee improved to 13-and-5 and is still first in the NL Central. The Brewers send Eric Lauer to the mound today while Seattle gives the ball to Marco Gonzales.
