The Minnesota Timberwolves overcame an early 16-point deficit during a 114-104 win over the Utah Jazz at Delta Center. The Wolves outscored Utah 61-45 after halftime. Anthony Edwards had another big game, pouring in 32 points, while Naz Reid added 17. Minnesota is on a three-game winning streak. The T-Wolves are in second place in the Western Conference at 47-and-21. They host the Nuggets tonight.


The Minnesota Wild continue their playoff push when they visit the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center tonight. The Wild are on a seven-game point streak following a 3-2 shootout loss against the St. Louis Blues last Saturday. Minnesota is in sixth place in the Central Division with 74 points and a 33-27-and-8 record. The Wild are five points back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Tonight's game begins at 9:00PM. In other team news, Minnesota signed forward Rasmus Kumpulainen to a three-year, entry-level contract that starts next season.


The Minnesota Twins will be without one of the game's best closing pitchers when they start the season later this month. The team announced yesterday that Jhoan Duran will start the 2024 season on the ten-day injured list as he recovers from a moderate oblique strain. The third-year flamethrower went 3-and-6 with a 2.45 ERA, 27 saves, and 84 strikeouts in 59 appearances last season. The team also announced that reliever Caleb Thielbar and starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani will also miss the start of the season. In other team news, Minnesota beat Boston 5-2 in Spring Training yesterday.


The best player in Minnesota Lynx history and one of the top WNBA players of all time is getting her jersey retired this August. The Lynx announced that Maya Moore's number-23 will be retired on August 24th during Minnesota's game against the Indiana Fever. The Lynx faced the Fever twice in the WNBA finals when Moore was a part of the team. Indiana is also expected to select Iowa's Caitlin Clark in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Clark grew up idolizing Moore, and Moore was in attendance when Clark broke Pete Maravich's college scoring record. Moore spent eight seasons with the Minnesota Lynx, winning four WNBA championships and making six All-Star games.


The Minnesota Gophers visit Butler in the first round of the NIT Tournament at Hinkle Fieldhouse tonight. Minnesota accepted a spot in the NIT after losing to Michigan State in the Second Round of the Big Ten Tournament last week and missing out on the NCAA Tournament. The Gophers are 18-and-14 this season. Tonight's game starts at 8:00PM.


The Brewers slipped by the Angels 4-3 in a spring training game from Phoenix. Christian Yelich and Willy Adames blasted homers. DL Hall got the start and gave up two runs over three-and-a-third innings. Milwaukee is now 11-and-13 in exhibition play and will visit the Guardians this afternoon.


The Bucks are back on the hardwood tomorrow night. The team tips off against the Celtics in Boston. Milwaukee is coming off a big win over the Suns where Damian Lillard tied for a game-high 31 points and dished out 16 assists for a double-double. Bobby Portis exploded for 31 points off the bench and grabbed 10 rebounds. Milwaukee has won back-to-back games and still leads the Central Division at 44-and-24.


March Madness is here. The NCAA tournament begins with two matchups in the First Four tipping off from Dayton today. A battle for the 16th-seed in the West region takes place between Wagner and Howard, while Colorado State and Virginia square off for the 10th-seed in the Midwest. Meanwhile, Wisconsin earned the fifth-seed in the South region and will play 12th-seeded James Madison in Brooklyn on Friday. Marquette got the second-seed in the South and will play 15th-seeded Western Kentucky in Indianapolis on Friday.
