The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a three-game winning streak following a 106-91 win over the Detroit Pistons at Target Center. Minnesota led by just two at halftime before outscoring the Pistons 59-44 the rest of the way. Naz Reid poured in 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the victory, while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 20 points. The Wolves are tied for second place in the Western Conference with a 50-and-22 record. Minnesota visits Denver tomorrow night.


The 2024 MLB season is finally here. The Minnesota Twins visit the Kansas City Royals for Opening Day at Kauffman Stadium this afternoon. Minnesota is looking for its fourth AL Central crown in six years. The Twins ended up winning their first playoff game since 2004 and first playoff series since 2002 last year. Pablo Lopez takes the mound for Minnesota, while Cole Ragans goes for Kansas City. First pitch is at 3:10PM. Hear the broadcast on KWNG & WPVW at 2:30 pm.


The Minnesota Wild will try to snap a two-game losing streak when they host the San Jose Sharks at the Xcel Energy Center tonight. The Wild are coming off a 5-4 overtime loss against the St. Louis Blues last Saturday. The Wild are in sixth place in the Central Division with 77 points and a 34-28-and-9 record. Minnesota is nine points behind Vegas for the final Western Conference playoff spot with 11 games to go. Tonight's game starts at 7:00PM.


The Bucks are back on the hardwood tonight. The team tips off against the Pelicans in New Orleans. Milwaukee is coming off a double-overtime loss to the Lakers where Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied a triple-double on 29 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists. Damian Lillard was second on the team in scoring with 27 points and dished out eight helpers. Milwaukee dropped to 46-and-26, but is still second in the Eastern Conference.


Opening Day is here. The Major League Baseball regular-season kicks into full swing today with 13 games on the schedule. The action starts with the Angels facing the Orioles in Baltimore. The Yankees visit Houston, the Cardinals are at the Dodgers, and the Cubs take on the defending champion Rangers in Texas. Two games were already postponed due to rain. Brewers-Mets and Braves-Phillies were pushed back due to rain in New York and Philadelphia.


The Sweet 16 of the NCAA Men's tournament is here. Four games tip off from Boston and Los Angeles on Thursday starting with number two Arizona against sixth-seeded Clemson. Another West region matchup takes place later in the day when top-seeded North Carolina battles number four Alabama. A pair of East region teams clash when number one overall-seed UConn faces number five San Diego State, while second-seeded Iowa tips off against number three Illinois. The round concludes on Friday with number one seeds Houston and Purdue in action. The winners will advance to the Elite Eight, which takes place on Saturday.
