Kirk Cousins' 2023 campaign has come to an end. Multiple outlets are reporting that Cousins left yesterday's win over the Packers because of a torn Achilles tendon. The Vikings quarterback will have an MRI today to confirm the injury. Cousins exited the contest after getting sacked early in the fourth quarter and was replaced by rookie Jaren Hall. Cousins passed for 2,331 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games this season. He is set to become a free agent in the offseason.

The Wild surrendered three goals in the second period of their 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center. The Wild are on a three-game losing streak. Minnesota is tied for fourth-place in the Central Division with eight points and a 3-4-and-2 record. The Wild host the Devils on Thursday.

The Timberwolves picked up their first win of the season with a 106-90 over Miami in their home opener at the Target Center on Saturday. The Wolves outscored the Heat by 14 points in the second half and led by as much as 23. Naz Reid poured in 25 points off the bench, while Anthony Edwards chipped in with 19. The 1-and-1 T-Wolves visit the Hawks tonight.

The Minnesota Gophers are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Michigan State Spartans 27-12 at Huntington Bank Stadium on Saturday. The Gophers trailed by four late in the first half, but Athan Kaliakmanis hit Daniel Jackson for a 22-yard touchdown with 19 seconds left before halftime to give Minnesota the lead for good. The Gophers improved to 5-and-3 overall and 3-and-2 in the Big Ten. They host Illinois this Saturday.

The Wisconsin Badgers put up a good fight during a 24-10 loss to number-three Ohio State at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday. Braedyn Locke threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Will Pauling early in the third quarter to tie the game at ten, but the Buckeyes responded with a touchdown on the ensuing possession. Ohio State added a score at the end of the fourth to put the game out of reach. Locke threw for 165 yards and a score in the losing effort. The Badgers fell to 5-and-3 overall and 2-and-3 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin takes on Indiana this Saturday.
