Sharps and Syringes Disposal

The City of Red Wing reminding people to protect yourself and others in ourcommunity by following these steps for disposing of sharps and syringes properly.

• Place used sharps/syringes in a puncture-resistant container. Sharps containers, laundry detergent bottles, or other containers (with a tight-fitting lid or cap) made of heavy plastic or metal will work.

• Make sure the cap/lid is tightly secured. Use tape if needed to ensure the seal. Clearly label the container as "Sharps."

Bring the sharps container to the Waste Campus (1873 Bench St.) for disposal.

The City asks that you do not place it in garbage or recycling bins.
