The popular Sculpture Walk in Red Wing will continue to charm downtown for at least one more year.
The sculpture walk started as a three-year pilot project for 2021, 2022, and 2023, and without additional funding, the program would've ended this year.
The Arts & Culture Commission didn't want to see that happen and voted unanimously to recommend that the City's Arts Fund be used to keep the sculpture walk going this year.
The Red Wing City Council recently approved agreements with Red Wing Arts, Sculptures Eau Claire, and a motion to accept the donations of pedestals for the sculptures allowing new sculptures to arrive this spring.
It also allows time for the Arts & Culture Commission, Red Wing Arts, and other folks and organizations to collaborate and fundraise for the sculpture walk's future.
