River Cities area residents recently gathered at the Colvill Park for this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on September 16.
More than 180 walkers, donors and sponsors raised $47,900 to support classes and support groups for local families, and advance the research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The top fundraising team for the event was Goodhue Living Gardeners, which raised $4,050 for the cause.
The event is a bit short of its $70,000 goal, so donations of any amount are continuing to be accepted through December 31, 2023 at http://act.alz.org/redwing.
The Association relies on these funds to provide critical support and resources for individuals and families in the community.
