Gas prices are rising in Minnesota as air strikes continue in the Middle East.
Triple-A Minnesota reports Monday’s statewide average for regular unleaded is $ 2.83 a gallon – up from $2.69 last week.
Some oil production facilities in Saudi Arabia and Qatar are shut down because of Iran’s strikes on Gulf countries.
The U-S and Israeli strikes on Iran have resulted in military conflicts and sent crude oil prices rising.
Analysts predict gasoline will soon top $3 a gallon for the first time this year.
It’s already here in Red Wing, Kwik Trip was selling regular unleaded at $ 3.09 a gallon as of yesterday. Kwik Trip in Wabasha was still selling it at $2.79 per gallon on Monday.
