Red Wing Veterans Day

The annual Veterans Day Commemoration in Red Wing is held the Friday before Veterans Day, which is always Nov. 11th – a Tuesday this year.

The special assembly will be held the morning of Friday, November 7^th from 10-11 am in Sonju Gymnasium at Red Wing High School.

There will be a military color guard. Red Wing High School Concert Band, Ovation, and Tinta Wita Singers will provide music and song.

Featured guest speaker is Colonel Steve Babcock, United States Army. The assembly will run about 1 hour in length with refreshments and cake to follow. 

All veterans, current service members and their guests will have reserved seating on the floor level of the gymnasium.

Students will begin seating at 9:55 am.

All are welcome to attend. Please enter at the District Office, Door No. 36. Veterans and guests will be escorted to seating on the gymnasium floor and there is an elevator available.

The event is sponsored by Red Wing Public Schools, Minnesota State College Southeast, Red Wing American Legion Post 54 and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Hiawatha Valley.
