The City of Red Wing’s Public Works' tree replacement program has effectively doubled in recent years and will continue to do so in 2026, all thanks to support from the Wings Foundation.
The foundation's contributions have made a huge difference in improving our environment and helping combat the damage left by the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB).
The Wings Foundation's three-year grant program has funded an additional 125 trees per year since 2024 and will conclude with 2026's $25,000 donation.
That's an extra 375 trees planted that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
Tree planting will resume this spring, and we're incredibly grateful to see the long-term benefits of these efforts take root.
