The Red Wing School Board has selected three finalists to interview for the district’s superintendent position. The finalists are:
Ryan Barnick, principal on special assignment, Austin Public Schools, Minnesota (Top picture)
Nate Shurman, principal, River Falls School District, Wisconsin (Bottom picture)
Martina Wagner, director of Teaching and Learning, Red Wing Public Schools
The finalists were initially selected from a pool of 15 applicants based on criteria established by the School Board, as well as input from stakeholders gathered through an online survey and district listening sessions.
Six candidates were interviewed March 9, after which the board unanimously voted to bring back the three finalists for a second round of interviews.
Interviews of the finalists will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 13th. Prior to the interview, each candidate will also be given a tour of the district.
All interviews will be held in Red Wing High School room J-110 and are open to the public.
