Students at Red Wing Public Schools head back to class next week, and new school zone speed limits are now in effect around two schools.
Sunnyside Elementary is surrounded by 15 and 20 mph zones, and Twin Bluff Middle School gets 20 mph zones on city roads.
City staff have installed new signs at both locations, and drivers should watch for – and heed – them as the school year gets underway.
As always, caution should also be used when driving around any school building
